Interfaith Prayer Gathering

Multiple faiths were invited by the Catholic Diocese of Arlington to join in an expression of prayer and faith.  Many religious groups attended, including Buddhism, Christian/LDS, Hinduism, Judaism, and Islam.  I picked up Anne-Marie and we went together.  We arrived a little late, but only missed the opening hymn and message.  I only recognized Shannon in the crowd, but a good number of LDS were there.  Members of the multiple faiths took turns giving brief talks or prayers and there were a few musical numbers, with one that we participated in.  Afterwards, we went downstairs for a reception, where they served treats and drinks.

A young LDS sister named Breanna came over to talk to us for a while.  She had just moved to the area and was currently living in temporary housing until she finds work and settled into a more permanent place.  We spoke to Darla briefly, had some treats and then left.  The event was a good idea and it was interesting to hear the messages from multiple faiths.
