Fireside with Elder Duane Cardall

I drove to the Chevy Chase chapel to listen to Elder Duane Cardall, reporter for KSL television and radio (retired) talk about his travels and interviews with presidents of the church during his career.  There were about 40 or so in attendance and the talk was very good.  He discussed political obstacles in some countries, the growth of the church in Russia, China, Germany and other previously closed off countries.  He spoke of President Kimball and the time he became President after the death of President Lee, and his dealings with other presidents of the church.  I recognized a few faces in the crowd, but left after the talk without staying for the mingle/treats.
